On December 4, 2025, KIMSEN Industrial Corporation and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) officially signed a cooperation agreement to promote joint training and research activities in the field of energy.

In the context of ongoing digital transformation, industrialization–modernization, and the rising demand for sustainable development, partnerships between academia and industry play an increasingly crucial role. Such collaborations are essential for nurturing high-quality human resources, driving scientific and technological advancement, facilitating technology transfer, and supporting digital and green transitions.

With shared alignment in vision, objectives, and sustainable development philosophy, KIMSEN Industrial Corporation and Hanoi University of Science and Technology reached an agreement to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two parties.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh – Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology – expressed his expectations that the cooperation would open a new chapter, bringing benefits to businesses, students, and HUST faculty members. He shared:
“I believe that the joint laboratory between HUST and KIMSEN will become a representative model of successful university–industry collaboration.”

Mr. Duong Minh Hai, Production Director of KIMSEN Industrial Corporation, shared the company’s development orientation and emphasized:
“We aim to establish a research center within the university’s laboratory, offering opportunities for both students and KIMSEN staff to study, conduct research, and generate promising outcomes.”

KIMSEN Industrial Corporation also committed to providing opportunities for HUST students to take part in internships, receive support for capstone projects, and join specialized training programs that prepare them for potential career paths at the company. KIMSEN hopes to accompany HUST in fostering a green and smart mobility ecosystem, including research on charging stations and energy storage solutions.

During the ceremony, the two parties further discussed potential activities to be implemented following the signing of the agreement. HUST expressed interest in having KIMSEN support final-year students in experiencing real corporate environments, exploring new technologies, and gaining hands-on exposure directly at the company.

KIMSEN Industrial Corporation — home to many HUST alumni currently holding key leadership roles — expressed great pride and happiness in partnering with the university. According to the plan, imported equipment for the joint laboratory will arrive in Vietnam within December 2025 and will be promptly installed at HUST.

Representatives from Toshiba Vietnam also attended the ceremony. Recognizing the alignment in research and development priorities, Toshiba Vietnam expressed its desire to participate in collaborative projects with KIMSEN and HUST. A representative from Toshiba Vietnam affirmed:
“Enterprises have strong financial capacity, but universities possess research excellence and the ability to standardize knowledge, technologies, and products to support business growth. Therefore, both sides must connect and cooperate to achieve shared success.”
